A native of Williamsburg, Virginia, Mallory Shurtz, a 15-year veteran in sports, started her professional career at Old Dominion University where she served as the Football Events Specialist responsible for all operational and recruiting aspects of the Monarchs start-up football program. Specializing in team logistics and donor relations, Shurtz was named the November 2013 University-wide Employee of the Month for her “team first” approach on the implementation and execution of all football related special events. After 5 years with the Old Dominion football program, Mallory took on the role of Director of Special Events & Premium Seating with the Old Dominion Athletic Foundation where she oversaw all ODU Athletics fundraising events and premium seating sales and stewardship for basketball and football.

After a decade with Old Dominion Athletics, Mallory joined the Complete Sports Management Team as the Vice President of Marketing & Operations in 2018 after successfully connecting with CSM CEO, Lea Miller-Tooley, at the 2016 Bahamas Bowl Football Game, in which Miller-Tooley serves as the Founder and Executive Director. In her current role with Complete Sports Management, Mallory plays a major role in the company’s day-to-day internal and external operations working closely with their large client base ranging from Division I Institutions, the NCAA, Head Coaches and Athletic Directors, to international government entities and communities across the world. Since 2018, Shurtz has assisted in leading over 50 international foreign tours across 4 continents for men’s and women’s college basketball teams and plays an instrumental role in the longest-standing international bowl game, the Bahamas Bowl.

Mallory is a 2009 graduate of Radford University with a major in Sport Administration where she worked as an Athletics Marketing and Promotions Intern for basketball, baseball and softball from 2008-2009. She then went on to complete her Masters of Education in Sports Management from Old Dominion University in 2010.
